About

YOU are an Independent Content Producer…

Carve your niche

As an independent filmmaker or content producer there are more options for developing, producing and distributing independent content than ever before. Through the rapid growth of new technology we are seeing an advancement everyday of evolved delivery systems, and audience outreach abilities. It is essential to have a clearly defined target audience and a road-map for your niche markets. It is a time to be innovative with your distribution strategy to take advantage of the opportunities in the new digital space while carving your role in the more traditional distribution arena.

Can’t find a distribution strategy that fits – Customize

Customizing is a hybrid mix of traditional marketing and distribution crossed with new media, alternative and sometimes uncharted distribution routes. This has created new distribution models not focused on Box Office estimates but rather detailed coordinated plan based on multiple platforms, events and related ancillary markets. The independent distribution arena has changed substantially and as a result filmmakers and producers have become more involved in the distribution process. Independent film projects need customized distribution strategies to maximize the potential audiences and revenues.

Strategic Partners

Also as an independent producer there is a greater demand on you to show investors and distributors not only that you have a target audience but that you have developed avenues to reach these audiences directly. As an independent filmmaker or producer you have greater control of your distribution rights and potential revenues BUT also the responsibility to deliver the film to an audience. Finding strategic partners that can help with your audience outreach will not only potentially expand your audience but also provide a big link in your distribution strategy.

Strategic Partners can include: Non-profit/foundations, brands and corporate sponsors, the media, celebrities/public-figures, venues and also creating collaboration with other content producers. Though it is more difficult during the development stage it is worth the filmmaker pursuing partners that have an interest in the project’s concept and are willing to commit to the filmmaker at a level of service upon funding. Filmmakers should incentivize these relationships to be part of the business model and included in the business plan.

Using this new model I help filmmakers find new ways to incentivize organizations and reward participation through fractional ownership by finding significant ways to bring partners together with the interest of telling a story. In order for this to happen the filmmaker has to be open to greater levels of participation from partners. And this comes from knowing how to offer both segregated and bundled rights and matching the rights against the right potential funding.

What’s My Role & How Does it Help You?

For over15 years I have been employed by and serviced in entertainment media within the role of marketing. Working with small-medium marketing budgets I have had to be creative to find partners to help advance a brand and share information and reach new customers. Over the years I developed a certain knack for this and can take a project and find partners that can really benefit a project.

Because of the breakdown of the independent financing deals producers have to be more realistic on the return as well as the budget requiring a much greater level of business savvy and creativity than before.  This is where I come in useful, assisting the filmmaker in the focus and action-plan of bringing all the elements together necessary for the business plan including strategic alliance and investor pitches. Helping to develop relationships with brands that share the message and will commit at the business development stage that can be parlayed into further financing.

What I Do

I am a connector! Whatever stage your project is at I will be able to guide you to the appropriate service, network, system, consultant, report or contact you need to help move you forward. I have developed personal relations with a range of consultants, analysts, entertainment lawyers, data services and marketing gurus to create a referral network to benefit YOU the filmmaker.

YOU are a Independent Distributor or Sales Representative…

Online social networks and blogging have helped filmmakers share resources and technical know-how to market your film and reach your target audience. Everything you need to know to enable you to create your own distribution model can be found on the web.

However with the new distribution models, as a filmmaker you will still need a customized distribution strategy to maximize your potential audience and revenue. For this all a filmmaker needs is a little guidance to the resources available including the services and companies that are immersed in cutting-edge technologies as well as traditional distribution route. Also it is beneficial to have a helping-hand from some of the industry’s most innovative minds helping to put your project in the spotlight and help you achieve your vision.

AND…

What can I do for you?

I can refer you to the right individual or service that fits with your project whatever your budget…

Technology is changing so fast that it is becoming more and more difficult for everyone to keep up. This is a challenge for all marketers. By working closely with the individuals that specialize in each of their own disciplines, the consultancy can provide this knowledge and expertise through the individuals and ensure that marketing strategies stay consistent with client’s business strategies.

These services are not only strategic in nature, but are specifically designed to implement hands-on campaigns for and on behalf of clients themselves. Not only will the consulting team be able to help to design the strategies, but they will do the work as well, if necessary
